Germany Considers Ban on After Work Email

Germany is considering passing a law that would ban the use of email outside of business hours in order to alleviate the stress and mental issues associated with overworking. Larger German employers including Volkswagen already have similar rules in force. The country's labor minister Andrea Nahles commissioned the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to do a study to identify how this new law would work. The law probably won’t be proposed until 2016.
