The publishing side at Newsweek has undergone several high-level changes. In January 2001, publisher
CAROLYN WALL was reassigned to the post of Director of Marketing and Communications as part
of a restructuring. Wall left Newsweek last May.
MARK UPDEGROVE, Newsweek's U.S. publisher for less than a year, has also left the company. Updegrove, a longtime Time Inc. exec, had been
president of Time Canada prior to joining the Washington Post Co. title last June.
