Indie creative agency Gus has
named co-founders Graham Douglas as CEO and Spencer LaVallee as Chief Creative Officer, respectively. Maxie Etess, a founder at Pablo NYC, joins as head of account management.
Douglas and
LaVallee worked together for years, shaping the culture at Droga5 and Fig.
Prior to Pablo NYC, Etess worked at VCCP, Fig and Vimeo.
“As we’ve grown, we’ve kept the
business set up around how we want to work, which is a small, senior team staying close to both the ideas and the decisions,” said Douglas. “These roles just formalize that, and Maxie is a
natural extension of it.”
In addition, Gus was named lead creative agency for The Lovesac Company, a furniture retailer.
“Lovesac is exactly the kind of partner this model
is built for — ambitious, product-driven and ready to lean into disruptive creative,” said LaVallee.
Founded in 2020, Gus' clients include Mammoth Brands, Spotify, Away, Netflix,
A24, and Meta.
