John A. Reisenbach Foundation's 23rd Annual Gala Tribute

The John A. Reisenbach Foundation’s 23rd Annual Gala Tribute for a Better and Safer New York is only a few weeks away: December 2. You can buy tickets and make plans to attend here. This year's recipients of the Reisenbach Distinguished Citizenship Awards are Dave Morgan of Simulmedia, Kris Magel of Initiative U.S. and Donna Speciale of Turner Broadcasting.

Each year, donations go to a variety of organizations, including on October 22, the dedication of the John A. Reisenbach Classroom in the Gerald Lynch Building on West 59th Street. The JAR Scholars Program at John Jay College is our longest partnership, dating from 1992. On October 6, several board members joined Safe Horizons executive director Ariel Zwang for the dedication of the John A. Reisenbach Counseling Room at the Streetworks Youth Drop in Center on West 125th Street. The Drop in Center offers some of New York’s most at-risk young people a safe place to rest, eat, do laundry, learn job skills, and receive counseling and advice from trained social workers.

JAR's mission is to make New York a better and safer place to live and work.
