Programmatic Driving Revenue Growth For SpotXchange

SpotXchange, a Denver-based supply-side platform (SSP) for video advertising, on Thursday announced its revenue from the first three quarters for 2014.
The company reported a 136% increase in revenue compared to the first three quarters of 2013, with programmatic driving a substantial amount of that growth. Compared to the first three quarters of 2013, SpotXchange says programmatic advertising revenue increased by 282% in 2014.

The company says its international revenue has grown 173% compared to the same period in 2013, with international programmatic revenue increasing by 340%. SpotXchange’s international presence -- particularly in Europe -- was bolstered by its majority sale to RTL Group, a large European media company.

Since acquiring 65% of SpotXchange in July, RTL Group has begun implementing SpotXchange’s technology with some of its European operations, per a release, including RTL Nederland’s Videostrip and IP Deutschland’s Netzathleten Media.
