announced that TOM HARTY
will join the Meredith Magazine Group.
In his new role, Harty will oversee the Meredith Magazine Group’s direct response and travel
advertising departments, as well as its strategic planning, magazine development and market research functions. Harty will concentrate on developing business and marketing strategies to help Meredith
enhance its leadership position in the magazine marketplace. Most recently, he was senior vice president, general manager for The Golf Digest Companies, a division of Advance Magazines. Also at
Meredith, DAVID BALL
has rejoined the company as group consumer marketing director. In his new role, Ball will be responsible for Meredith’s circulation efforts for Country Home, Traditional
and Successful Farming
magazines; all online consumer marketing circulation activities; and circulation development for outside partner custom magazines that Meredith publishes, such
as the DIRECTV program guide. Most recently, he was vice president, marketing for DTN in Omaha, where he oversaw all lead generation and trade marketing for the news/weather/marketing subscription
service. Lastly, American Baby
magazine, published by Meredith Corporation, has promoted AHU TERZI
to eastern manager. Terzi was formerly New York manager. Terzi will also retain
her current responsibilities as advertising director for American Baby’s
Hispanic publications, comprising American Baby’s Espera, Primeros 12 Meses,
and Healthy Kids en Español.
