Digilant, a programmatic media-buying
platform, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Rafael Martínez de Lucas as country manager, Spain.
In a release, Digilant calls Spain “one of the company’s most critical regions.” Inquiries into the specific size of Digitlant’s business in Spain, and how its business in Spain compares to other European countries, were not immediately answered. Digilant has an office in Madrid.
Martínez was most recently digital director at Starcom MediaVest Group, Spain, where he oversaw the company’s display, social media and mobile units, per a release. Prior to SMG, Martínez served as head of interaction at MEC Global.
“Rafael’s proven leadership, expertise and years of experience in the digital space make him a perfect fit for this role,” stated Don Epperson, executive chairman of Digilant and CEO of ispDigital. “Spain has been an extremely important country for us since day one, and I am thrilled that Rafael will be leading our operations as we continue to expand there.”
Martínez’s appointment comes one month after Digitlant named Sanjay Pothen as U.S. managing director.
