The Federal Communications Commission Thursday released its 183-page municipal-broadband ruling, which vacated state curbs on muni-broadband in North Carolina and Tennessee. The ruling immediately
allows the operators of Chattanooga's 1 GB fiber network to expand, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reports. Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, AT&T and other opponents of the FCC's decision have
30 days to appeal; Haslam has already asked the attorney general to investigate doing so.
