Avenue A, Inc., a digital marketing services and technology company, announced that it has launched a new corporate advisory board. The advisory board will include
GRAHAM PHILLIPS, former CEO
of Ogilvy & Mather, and
ERVIN SHAMES, former CEO of General Foods USA. Phillips spent 28 years with Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, rising to Chairman and Chief Executive in 1989. He eventually
became chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Advertising, a position he held until WPP acquired Y&R Inc. in the fall of 2000. Shames' 25-year career in the food industry includes positions as President
and CEO of General Foods USA and President of Kraft USA. After his career with General Foods, Shames held President and CEO positions with the Kendall Corporation from 1989 to 1990, the Stride Rite
Corporation from 1990 to 1993, and Borden, Inc. from 1993 to 1995. He has also served on the Stride Rite and Borden board of directors, as well as the board of the First Brands, Select Comfort and
Online Resources Communication corporations.
