The Department of Homeland Security is warning consumers to be on guard against spam messages from scammers that are using the earthquake in Nepal to elicit responses. The messages
contain malicious software in the form of attachments. "Phishing emails and websites requesting donations for fraudulent charitable organizations commonly appear after these types of natural
disasters," the office explained in its warning.
