British psychologist Sir Cary Cooper has warned employers to address what he calls an "epidemic" of staff checking work emails after-hours. The former
government advisor claims that people become less productive when they are overworked and the practice of checking emails at night, on the weekend and while on vacation is only hurting the health of
workers. He encourages companies to put limits on internal emails, advocating for face-to-face meetings and phone calls.
