Transparency advocates are not pleased with the how the inspectors general are handling the release of Hillary Clinton’s email. Critics claim that the delayed release of emails has the
potential to stop the Freedom of Information Act process, which is already slow enough. Steven Aftergood, a classified information expert with the Federation of American Scientists, said, "Their
recommendation essentially is to give more reviewers a veto over disclosure. They not only want to bring in intelligence community reviewers, but also Justice Department officials."
