The Google Display Network began converting text ads to Richer Text as of July 31, confirms WordStream after speaking with a Google rep. The technology behind these image ads is partly designed to
turn text ads into Richer Text ads by analyzing the click-through rate, conversions per dollar, deep conversion rate, and landing page dwell time. The ad runs on
text and image, and
