Texting is a more effective channel in the office than email, according to the Australian Human Resources Institute. The organization found that the volume of email makes it a difficult
channel to cut through the noise and they are often unimportant to business dealings. In fact, of the 100 billion emails sent per day and only 14 per cent of them are considered critical to the
running of a business. Texts, on the other hand, are more immediate and urgent, the organization concludes.
