comScore Rolls Out Cross-Media Service: Measures Unduplicated Reach Of TV, Digital Audiences

comScore, which holds its annual industry summit in New York Tuesday, this morning announced the rollout of a cross-platform audience measurement service combining TV and digital audience estimates. The product, dubbed Xmedia, provides unduplicated total audience estimates across media.

The service, which had been tested on a limited basis, is now available to any syndicated research subscriber in the U.S. comScore claims it is the “first-ever” service to combine the unduplicated audience reach of TV and digital properties, and is capable of analyzing both incremental and duplicated audience reach, as well as “engagement” across platforms.

Nielsen has also been developing a cross-media measurement platform. To date, neither have been accredited by the Media Rating Council.
