The ruling Tuesday by The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that a “safe harbor” agreement that governs data transfers between the U.S. and the European Union is invalid.
The judge found that the DOJ's push to obtain Microsoft user data stored on a server in Ireland does not respect European 'fundamental rights' of personal data privacy.
