Time’s Inc.’s
People has named Robert Elder vice president, sales. Elder will act as liaison to the marketing and editorial departments.
Elder will be responsible for
the day-to-day management of advertising sales nationwide at the celebrity magazine, including New York and all regional branch offices. He will help shape the strategic direction across the
People brand on all print and digital platforms.
“Rob has extensive digital media sales and product experience, as well as entertainment and experiential knowledge,
which will help drive People’s success across our growing multiplatform portfolio,” Karen Kovacs, Group Publisher, People and Entertainment Weekly,
stated.
Elder most recently served as VP, national sales at Live Nation Entertainment, a live entertainment company and ticketing platform, where he led Digital Alliances and managed
12 national sellers.

He previously built and managed the national sales organization for GumGum, an in-image advertising platform.
He also built and managed the
digital sales team for Independent Television Networks, an un-wired television network consisting of more than 5,000 local newspaper, television and radio websites.
Earlier in his
career, Elder held sales positions at Maxim Online, Sony Digital Entertainment and Internet Broadcasting (IB).
