Indian Tax Office's New Email Pilot Met With Delays

The Central Board of Direct Taxes in India is hoping to test a new program that will allow taxpayers to communicate with officials via email. However, the program has been delayed since many of the participating tax offices have failed to send in their data required for set up. Once it gets off the ground, the system aims to make communications between officials and citizens more efficient.
