AdsNative Names New CRO

Startup AdsNative named Lewis Rothkopf its new CRO. Rothkopf was previously SVP-global monetization solutions at Millennial Media, the mobile app ad network AOL acquired last September.

Rothkopf's responsibilities as CRO will include worldwide sales, strategic partnerships and marketing for the company’s suite of monetization solutions for publishers and app developers.

He joined Millennial Media through the company's acquisition of Jumptap in Nov. 2013. Rothoipf previously worked as SVP-network and exchange, BrightRoll, general manager-AMP Publisher Solutions, Collective and director of NBCUniversal's video syndication business, among other positions.

On LinkedIn, Rothkopf said he has seen many shifts since joining the digital monetization ecosystem in the late 1990s, but added that there has not been meaningful change in the way ads are served.

"The very pipes and plumbing that underlie so much of our Monetization Metropolis were designed for a bygone era," Rothkopf wrote. "They have served their purpose but cracks in the foundation have been appearing for far too long. And that’s why I joined AdsNative."

Last September, AdsNative added $8.5 million in Series A funding that will support the launch of AdsNative Enterprise, a platform that integrates ad-serving technology within the framework of a publisher’s existing content-management system.
