Bruce Gersh has been named senior vice president,
strategy and business development for Time Inc.’s People and Entertainment Weekly. He will also oversee media brand extensions, new revenue and business opportunities,
expansion of vertical audiences and the formation of new partnerships.
Gersh most recently served as executive vice president and head of digital, strategy and branded entertainment at ITV
Studios America.
Doug Richter has been appointed managing director, global partnerships at Time Inc.’s inVNT, a global brand communications agency. Richter will also help inVNT
create, develop and produce brand-centered live experiences for its global partners.

Richter was most recently director of partnerships marketing at Karlitz & Company.
Time Inc. also appointed Steve Marcopoto as president, Time Inc. International. For the past year, Marcopoto was serving as a consultant in the role. He will lead the expansion of Time
Inc.’s business portfolio through digital, video and TV platforms, partnerships, acquisitions, licensing and commerce.
Marcopoto was previously president and managing director of
Turner Broadcasting Asia-Pacific.
According to Ripp, since Time Inc. became a public company 18 months ago, the company has been working to expand their brands globally, including
festivals in South Africa, like the Essence Festival, and Time Inc. UK’s acquisition of UK Cycling Events (UKCE).
Separately, Bauer Media Group USA announced Richard Calkins
has been appointed to a new post: SVP of customer relations. Calkins will focus on building Bauer’s relationships with its retail partners, implementing new strategies to maximize profitability
and expanding Bauer’s market share.
For the past 20 years, Calkins has held several executive positions at SC Johnson.
