Translation tapped Federico "Fede" Garcia as creative director, based in New York. He joins the agency following a 4-year stint at Ogilvy & Mather's Tokyo office. While there, he oversaw the
creative development for many of the agency's biggest accounts, including Coca-Cola, American Express, IBM and Citizen. Garcia originally transferred to Ogilvy Tokyo from the agency's office in his
native Argentina, where he served as a senior copywriter and creative director for brands like Coca-Cola Co., Mondelez, Kraft Foods and Kimberly-Clark. Prior to that, he spent two years as a senior
copywriter at JWT Buenos Aires. "I'm a big believer in global thinking, and as an agency we actively seek out individuals who understand global trends," said John Norman, chief creative officer of
Translation. "More than just a great writer, Fede is a powerful, strategic thinker with a sophisticated understanding of visual storytelling and contemporary culture. I'm very excited to see what he
does here in the months and years ahead."
