Bazooka Launches Crunchkins With TV Spot, Social

Topps’ Bazooka Candy Brands is launching Crunchkins, bite-sized, dessert-flavored candy poppers.

The candies have a crunchy center and a creamy coating, and each 3-ounce package includes a mix of three flavors: birthday cake, fudge brownie and glazed donut. Suggested retail price range is $1.38 to $1.50.

For the launch, Bazooka is airing an animated, space-themed TV ad, “Discover the Crunchkins!” The video is also viewable on YouTube and the new brand’s area on Topps’ Candymania site.

A 9-second video showing alternating images of the three kinds of desserts again a space-themed backdrop is being featured on Crunchkins’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.



In-store marketing will begin this spring.

The candy will be available in Walmarts nationwide as of mid-March, and in 7-Eleven and other retailers starting in June.
