Privately Held Merkle Reports $435M In Net Revenue

Merkle, a privately held marketing agency, reported it made a net revenue of $435 million last year, up 14% from $382 million in 2014, the company announced.

The rate of growth has slowed; in Merkle's Year in Review for 2014, the company announced it experienced 21% growth over 2013.

Merkle has been building up its offering with acquisitions. Earlier this month, Merkle bought U.K.-based Comet to strengthen its place in real-time performance marketing, Media Daily News reported. Other recent Merkle acquisitions include London-based performance marketing and programmatic agency Periscopix and DBG, a UK-based marketing agency.

Those acquisitions support Merkle’s five-year global strategy and will be drivers for the company’s growth in 2016 and 2017, the company stated in its Year in Review report,

Partnerships from 2015 include Tealium for enterprise tag management and real-time unified marketing solutions; Adobe on marketing solutions at scale; and Rentrak for viewership data.

The Columbia, Md.-based company added such clients as The Body Shop, T-Mobile, Mercer Health, NBA China, Neos Therapeutics, PayPal Credit, Social Finance and TESCO.
