A Russian hacker gained access to the email account of a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigator named Mark Lewis. The hacker, who goes by the name of BadVolf, had boasted about
the attack online claiming that he exposed proof that the law enforcement office was surveilling local journalists. Gawker was able to obtain the email exchanges to prove the
legitimacy of the claim.
