Australia is having an election in July and should the Labor party win the contests, the country will move forward with data breach notification laws. The Australia currently has no data
breach-notification laws. Under current data retention law, law enforcement agencies can access two years worth of consumer emails, call records, location information, IP addresses and billing
information without a warrant.
