Peter Csathy, the Los Angeles online media executive, is stepping away from the digital consulting and legal firm Manatt Digital Media where he is CEO, to start his own advisory and investment company named Creatv.
Clients include NBCUniversal, Walt Disney Co. and Coca-Cola, according to the Los Angeles Times. Variety said clients also include Threshold Entertainment Group, DNA Project, Verizon, Samsung, Everfest, music festival Kaaboo and DG Entertainment and Jukin Media. Jukin's CEO, Jonathan Skogmo and DG's president and CEO Robbie Davis are among the executives who will part of a large advisory boad.
The Creatv team includes former and current executives from the music, video and social media industries, plus marketers, advertising execs, motivational speakers, dealmakers and thought leaders.
In a blog post, Csathy called Creatv a “media innovation, investment and advisory firm” emphasizing that it wouldn’t be hemmed in by traditional investment-type parameter. “Creatv is not intended to be just another ‘advisory’ or ‘consulting’ firm,” he wrote. The blog post also said that Manatt where he had been since 2013, will retain a “close affiliation” providing legal services. Manatt has sponsored seminars and pitch events for start-ups to stoke investment in L.A’s online community.
