Two years after launching programmatic platform for
“in-image” advertising -- ads embedded into content images on publishers pages -- NetSeer is expanding the platform to include “in-video image overlays.”
The company says the new “non-linear” units will enable publishers to create new inventory by integrating the overlays onto their own video content “located anywhere on the
Internet.”
The company claims the new units will “enhance user experience” by reducing load times and eliminate “lengthy pre-roll gatekeeping” effects, which it says
prevents “as much as 60% of users from accessing content."
