Raytheon Sells People-Tracking Software For Self-Driving Car

Quanergy Systems, maker of a self-driving car sensor, acquired OTUS People Tracker software from Raytheon BBN Technologies on Monday for an undisclosed sum. OTUS uses human perception algorithms to identify and track people for safety and security in crowded environments. Sunnyvale-based Quanergy will use OTUS technology in conjunction with its own LiDAR (laser radar) sensors to follow individuals in real-time over large spaces. The combined technology can be used for security purposes and as an advanced people-detection system for autonomous vehicles.

    BIG BROTHER will soon be able to measure your vitals wherever you are. 
    Do you folks not get how much of individual freedom you are giving up  , for what?
    technology?  I don't want you to follow me anywhere, and sure as heck , don't want you anywhere near my car.  I detect people around me with my God Given senses!!  It's always disguised under "safety and security", or "For the children".  B/S
