John Bentel, a retired director of the Information Resources Management from Hillary Clinton's Secretary of State office, waived his Fifth Amendment rights more than 90 days during a deposition on
Monday during a civil lawsuit related to Clinton's use of a private email server. In August, a federal judge ordered Bentel to submit a sworn statement in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought
by Judicial Watch.
"The Court is persuaded that Mr. Bentel should be deposed because the record in this case appears to contradict his sworn testimony before the Benghazi Committee," the
judge wrote.
