Yahoo has released its annual transparency report. According to the report, the company received 20,511 data requests, most of which came from the United States government (9,408).
The company also revealed its "users first" outline promising to take the trust of its users seriously. "Our commitment to and concern for your privacy, security and freedom of expression are
demonstrated in our users first approach to government activities," reads the report. Still the company has recently been in hot water for secretly sharing data with the U.S. government and for a
massive data breach that exposed the data of hundreds of millions of users.
