Trump Takes Credit For Keeping Ford Plant Open That Wasn't Closing

Trump has continued his bending of the truth, a common practice during the primaries, into the transition period.
He claimed that Bill Ford advised him “that he will be keeping the Lincoln plant in Kentucky -- no Mexico.” Adding that he “worked hard” to keep the plant in Kentucky. A Ford spokesperson said the automaker had only planned to transfer production of the Lincoln MKC -- not the entire plant –– out-of-state, adding Ford never intended to close the plant.
