Microsoft has completed its acquisition of LinkedIn for $26.2 billion, and in doing so, the company is strategically positioned with massive amounts of data. While Salesforce also considered
snapping up the professional social network, Microsoft reportedly won the bidding contest. And when Salesforce lost, the firm argued that the acquisition would make Microsoft too powerful in the
CRM market, but regulators rejected the claim. Now Microsoft has a strong position when it comes to data.
