Australian Government May Soon Allow Email Data to be Used in Civil Cases

The Australian government is considering updating data retention laws which would make it possible for Australian citizens to have private phone and email records used against them in civil cases. Critics of the bill are concerned that phone and email records will become the main source for legal cases in divorces and marriage disputes.
