IT Employee Fired for Holding Google Account Hostage, Demanding Ransom

American College of Education fired an IT employee last year for allegedly locking the group out of its Google account, and demanding $200,000 to unlock the account. The Google account stored email and course material for 2,000 students, according to the lawsuit. The man would only share the information if he was paid off.
