According to an email sent to employees by Microsoft President Brad Smith over the weekend, 76 employees were affected by Donald Trump's travel ban. The executive order brought massive
changes to the US refugee program and blocked citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the country. "We believe that immigration laws can and should protect the public without
sacrificing people’s freedom of expression or religion. And we believe in the importance of protecting legitimate and law-abiding refugees whose very lives may be at stake in immigration
proceedings," Smith wrote in the email which was shared on LinkedIn.
