Connecticut's department of Revenue Services is warning human resource and payroll departments around the state to beware a CEO spam email in circulation. The emails look like the are coming from
legitimate executives from a company and are used to trick employees into handing over personal employee data including names, social security numbers and income data. The thieves have used this
data in an attempt to file fake tax returns and collect refunds.
