Just An Online Minute... One Show Honors

  • by May 12, 2005
It was a big night for creative talent. Last night's One Show celebration honored the advertising industry's best print, TV, radio, design, and interactive campaigns.

A TV spot for Honda created by Wieden + Kennedy London scored the One Show's "Best in Show" award. Honda's "Grrr" TV spot introduced a new diesel engine with animation, original music, and lyrics. Burger King was named One Show Interactive "Client of the Year," and that plucky bird - Crispin Porter + Bogusky's "Subservient Chicken" - earned the One Show Interactive's "Best in Show" honors.

Overall, Omnicom's global TBWA network earned the most nods scoring 14 One Show Pencils, WPP's Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide racked up nine, and DDB Worldwide, TBWA's sister, received eight.

Interactively speaking, One Show Interactive awarded a total of 12 Pencils to high-flying Crispin for the Miami-based agency's work on Burger King, Mini, and Virgin Atlantic Airways. Ogilvy earned four Pencils in the interactive competition, while Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, also earned four Pencils for the agency's work on Hewlett-Packard and Saturn.

The One Show competition received 17,000 entries from 57 countries. Congratulations to all the winners!
