Verizon subscribers asked the Ninth Circuit court to allow a class action suit against Turn Inc. over its surreptitious use of “super cookies” to go forward. They charge that the
cookies enable the firm to surreptitiously track their online movements. Attorney Nimish R. Desai argued that U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White erred when he found Turn's allegedly unlawful
use of secret supercookies for advertising purposes was "inextricably
intertwined" with their Verizon contracts, Law360 reports.
