The email marketing software business is exploding, with 10 new products now on the market, according to G2 Crowd’s Spring 2017 Email Marketing Software Grid. This tally brings the number of products rated in the report to 30.
Based on 4,146 reviews written by business professionals, the study shows little fluctuation in the average scores from prior reports despite the influx of newcomers.
Overall, the highest satisfaction score was earned by Robly, and the best market presence score by Salesforce Email Studio. The following companies were rated as Leaders, having strong satisfaction scores and large market presences: MailChimp, Constant Contact, GetResponse, iContact, Campaign Monitor, Emma, and Aweber.
These vendors also earned strong customer satisfaction scores, but smaller market presence ratings: OpenMoves Email Marketing Platform, Adestra, Klaviyo, Delivra, ExpressPigeon, Moosend, FreshMail, Mad Mimi, Mailigen, SendPulse, and Elastic Email.
This year’s report found that 85% of the products are deployed in the cloud, a 13% increase over 2016. However, satisfaction scores were relatively stable.
Ease of implementation was cited as a positive factor for the products in the Grid. Of the marketing companies polled, 89% said their implementation was led by an in-house team, compared to 86% last year.
