'Cosmopolitan' Debuts Web Series 'TEMP(orary)'

Hearst-owned Cosmopolitan.com today debuted a new comedy Web series in partnership with Sparkling Ice beverages and WhoHaha, the digital media company owned by actress/director Elizabeth Banks focusing on female-centric comedy.

The new, four-part scripted comedy Web series is called “TEMP(orary)” and tells the story of millennial women, Sam and Lexi, who work at a temp agency and are trying to find their place in the world.

“Our philosophy is always audience-first. One of the most important things we can do for our marketing partners is deliver video to our audience they love and share,” stated Lee Sosin, SVP of Hearst Digital Media.

TEMP(orary)” was created and written by leading actresses Chrissie Fit (from "Pitch Perfect" -- 2 and 3) and Cyrina Fiallo, known for her roles on Disney Channel.

The episodes, which are each about four minutes long, live on Cosmopolitan and WhoHaha’s sites and social channels.

“TEMP(orary)” will run for two months. The partnership is an extension of Sparkling Ice’s new “Be Not Bland” integrated marketing campaign that launched earlier this year.

The Sparkling Ice beverages are featured throughout the series. For example, in the second episode, Sam and Lexi take on a temp job that requires them to sell Sparkling Ice Waters at a farmer’s market.

“Similar to our campaign, the Web series elevates every day, bland moments through a fun and comical script," stated Brian Kuz, CMO, Talking Rain Beverage Company, makers of Sparkling Ice.

Other notable cast members in “TEMP(orary)” include Brittany Snow ("Pitch Perfect"), Elizabeth Henstridge (Marvel's "Agents of Shield"), Utkarsh Ambudkar ("The Mindy Project"), Dana Powell ("Modern Family") and Elizabeth Banks in a voiceover role.
