The European Union is reportedly preparing to fine Google for more than $1 billion for abusing the dominance of its search engine. “The EU move, expected in the coming weeks, will accuse the
company of using its near monopoly in online search to unfairly steer customers to its own Google Shopping service,” the
Financial Times reports.
