Stateside, more than 30 million people are now paying for a subscription music streaming service, according to RIAA. That “pushed streaming revenue up 48 percent, to $2.5 billion, in the first
half of the year,”
Recode writes, citing the trade group’s data. “Streaming now accounts for 62 percent of the U.S. music business.”
