After refusing to censor its services, Google pulled many of its services and apps from China in 2010 and has not been back. A Google spokesperson told Reuters there
have been no changes to Google Maps in China after Japan's Nikkei media agency reported that Google was preparing to relaunch Google Maps. "Google, however, stated that the Google
Maps browser has been available in China for many years while there is no Maps application offered in the country," Reuters reported.
