U.S. Bureau Reduces Scale Of Equifax Probe

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is pulling back from a full-scale probe of the Equifax data breach that exposed data on 143 million Americans. The probe had been authorized by Richard Cordray, Mick Mulvaney’s predecessor as head of the CFPB.
