Mixmax Pulls In $10.35 Million In Funding

Mixmax, a provider of a web and chrome app that it says helps marketers use the inbox as a sales platform, has pulled in $10.35 million in funding.

The investors in this round include Carl Fritjofsson of Creandum and Jason Lemkin of SaaStr.

Also investing are Michael Dearing, Harrison Metal; Admob; and Floodgate. All the investors back other high-profile technology companies.

The funding will go toward building the team from 18 to 50 people. It will also provide added support for new platforms, including Outlook & Exchange, and launching a mobile interface. The firm also will try to accelerate growth.

“Email is the default communications channel for talking across organizational boundaries, but it wasn’t designed for business -- we’re fixing that.” states Olof Mathé, CEO and co-founder of Mixmax. The firm says it has 10,000 customers.
