Among 228 groups that were found to be running division Facebook ads during the 2016 election, 122 were “suspicious,” Wired reports, citing research from a professor of
journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. “Of those so-called ‘suspicious’ advertisers, one in six turned out to be associated with [Russia’s own] Internet Research
Agency,” it writes, citing data that has since been provided by Congress.
