Facebook has moved 1.5bn account holders from outside the EU to be served by Facebook Inc., in the US, rather than Ireland. The
BBC is describing the move as ensuring that GDPR rules do not
apply to users outside the EU who previously access the service through Ireland. Users in Africa, Australia, Asia and Latin America are affected.
