The UK's data watchdog, the ICO, has been the first to act on the Cambridge Analytica scandal by hitting Facebook with the maximum GBP500,000 fine possible. The BBC explains that the charge is for not
being transparent on what third parties could do with account holders' details, and that it also failed to ensure that Cambridge Analytica had deleted users' details.
