Baumgarten has been tapped as Group Nine’s first executive vice president of marketing.
Baumgarten will work to market Group Nine’s brands Thrillist, NowThis, Seeker
and The Dodo to the ad industry, as well as “build our momentum and create even stronger connections with industry, client and agency partners,” stated Christa Carone, president
of Group Nine.
Previously, Baumgarten was managing director for Omnicom Media Group’s The Content Collective, where she led the New York agency team’s portfolio of
clients, including P&G, Carnival, GSK, JCP, Enterprise & Delta.
In her new role, Baumgarten will be responsible for creating marketing initiatives for Group Nine and leading
its sales marketing activities.

The company wants to broaden its offerings through custom, contextual and transactional media products.
At The Content Collective,
Baumgarten oversaw the agency’s Final Front event. At last year’s event, Group Nine and Discovery made a custom digital and linear ad deal with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Baumgarten has also served as senior vice president of Viacom Velocity Integrated Marketing at Viacom.
