Active lifestyle brand Outside has partnered with Blue World Voyages to offer shore excursions and two specially designed cruises a year for its readers.
Blue World Voyages' new style of cruise ship focuses on adventure trips with a luxury twist. Its first ship is slated to set sail in May 2019 and inaugural destinations include the Mediterranean, British Isles and the Baltic.
The company’s 350-guest ship features an entire deck focused on sports and fitness and its lodging has been down-sized to make room for on-board activity space and luxury accommodations for every passenger.
Outside will be involved with the development of the excursions and the biannual cruises.
Active shore excursions include hiking, cycling, kite-surfing and mountain biking, among other activities. Guests can take part in yoga, spinning, TRX studios and a sports-medicine clinic onboard.
Lawrence Burke, Chairman-Editor-in-Chief, Mariah Media Network, stated the “design of the vessel to the onboard programs and dining options” show Blue World Voyages’ dedication to wellness. The company “shares Outside’s mission of inspiring people to live an active and healthy life.”
This partnership comes on the heels of another Outside brand expansion with The Gotham Group, announced earlier this month. In that alliance, Outside and the production company will produce film and TV projects geared to the magazine's readership.
